Discover how our supervisory expertise shaped the 80th Street subway in the city of Medellín
The 80th Avenue Subway in the city of Medellín is a medium-capacity urban transportation project that will be implemented in the short term. The route covers 13.25 km, starting at the Caribe station of the Metro, passing along transversal 73, continuing along calle 65 to the Facultad de Minas, and then taking avenida 80-81, ending at the Aguacatala station in the south of Medellín.
The 80th Street Metro corridor is proposed as a key route for the concentration of services. Not only does it serve as a main axis for mass public transportation, but it also integrates the city’s system of centralities. This encourages the development of mixed land uses and provides high quality services with easy access for the entire population.
