AECOM Hunt served as CM for this renovation, which encompasses 71,800 SF of new exhibit hall space plus pre-function areas, a 39,000 SF new ballroom and a 3,700 SF new main kitchen.
The project also includes new entry lobbies on the east and west sides of the facility, the addition of 30,000 SF of meeting space, 10,800 SF of administrative offices, a new outdoor plaza and an upgraded central utility plant. To make way for the work, we first demolished both the western half of the existing Sacramento Convention Center and an east-side legacy administration building.
