AECOM Hunt served as CM for multiple buildings totaling 285,000 SF, including the Sheriff’s Property and Evidence Facility, Human Services Campus and the Public Health Clinic.
This project included construction of a 220 Bed, 134,000 square foot, Juvenile Detention addition and a new 3 level, 129,000 square foot Juvenile Courthouse and a 965-car parking garage. The new detention facility will be connected to the existing Juvenile detention facility at Durango. Approximately 3,430 SF of the existing juvenile facility, now used as a medical clinic, will be renovated to provide a new Juvenile Life Skills Center. The new buildings are in the middle of the Durango Complex and required relocation of the water, sewer, power, and telephone utilities feeding the campus without disrupting ongoing operations.
