The AECOM Sustainable Legacies Scholarship is one of our key initiatives to support talent development in Taiwan. This scholarship aims to recognize and reward students who excel academically and demonstrate outstanding conduct, encouraging them to focus on their studies, unlock their potential, achieve their personal dreams, and contribute to long-term societal progress.

We sincerely invite eligible students to apply. This scholarship not only acknowledges your hard work but also provides an opportunity for us to support your academic growth and jointly promote positive societal values.

Scholarship Amount:

  • 10 awards every academic year, with each recipient receiving NT$20,000. The scholarship is granted in a single disbursement upon approval.

Who can apply?

Eligibility:

  • Open to full-time students currently enrolled in Taiwanese public or private universities in fields such as Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Transportation, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Chemical Engineering, Soil and Water Conservation, Resource Engineering, Sustainability, Conservation, Ecology, Public Health, Urban and Rural Planning, and Urban Design.
  • Applicants must be at least in their second year of undergraduate studies or in their first year of a master’s program. Students in continuing education programs are not eligible.

Application Requirements:

  • Academic performance with an average score of 85 or a ranking within the top 30% of the class in the previous academic year.
  • Conduct score of 80 or above, with no record of misconduct.
  • Priority consideration will be given to students from low-income backgrounds or those who have demonstrated excellence in social service, campus service, and extracurricular activities.

How to Apply?

AECOM Sustainable Legacies Scholarship

Please complete the following steps within the specified announcement period:

  1. Fill out the online form (QR code: https://forms.office.com/r/v4dUzeTmh3).
  2. Upload the required documents in a single PDF file (file name format: “2024 Your Name.pdf”):
    • Transcript from the previous academic year
    • Autobiography (including family background, personal plans, and any special circumstances)
    • Master degree students only: Please include a research proposal
    • Recommendation letter from your advisor or supervising professor
    • Valid student ID with registration stamp of the current semester (if the registration stamp is missing, unclear, or not required, a current “Certificate of Enrollment” must also be provided)
    • Proof of low-income status (issued by your village head, if applicable)
    • Social/community service certificates
    • Other relevant documents
  3. Original documents will be requested based on the admission results. Failure to provide them will be considered a withdrawal from the application.

Application Timeline:

  • From the date of the announcement until October 31, 2024. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Please take note of these important dates.

What about the results?

The review process is not open to the public. Successful applicants will be notified by email at the address they provided by the end of 2024. AECOM reserves the right to approve or decline applications and does not offer an appeal process.
