My name is Alex, I’m an environment engineer at AECOM in Taipei.

Describe your role and day-to-day work? 

In my role, I work extensively with Excel sheets to analyze and interpret data, helping solve complex environment problems efficiently. On a typical day, I organize and structure large datasets, create formulas and pivot tables to extract key insights, and generate visual reports that present the data in a clear and actionable way. By carefully reviewing patterns and trends within the data, I can identify potential issues and recommend solutions that drive better decision-making.

How has AECOM helped you in your career development?

AECOM allows employees to work on a wide range of projects in different sectors and regions, helping me develop diverse skill sets and expertise. The company also offers leadership development programs for employees aiming to take on managerial or leadership roles. I hope in the future I will have the chance to take over some projects.

What’s your proudest moment at AECOM?

Involved in various sustainability and environmental projects. Helping reduce the environmental impact of major developments.
