AECOM strengthens Aviation Architecture capability in the UK and Europe with senior industry appointment

Appointment supports AECOM’s continued growth across major aviation programmes throughout the region

LONDON (16 July, 2026) — AECOM, the trusted global infrastructure leader, has appointed Dennis Austin as Aviation Architecture Director, strengthening its aviation architecture capability as the company continues to expand its support for major airport programmes across the UK and Europe.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the aviation sector, Dennis career spans major airport developments across Europe, Asia and North America, with expertise in terminal design, aviation infrastructure and multidisciplinary project delivery.

Dennis is particularly recognised for his contribution to Heathrow Airport, having worked on both Heathrow Terminal 5 and the Heathrow Expansion Programme. During the delivery of Heathrow Terminal 5, he played a key role in developing the Terminal concept and its innovative roof construction approach, helping support the delivery of one of Europe’s most complex aviation projects.

Dennis has also led or contributed to major aviation projects including Singapore Changi Terminal 5, Geneva Airport East Pier, Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2F, Shanghai Pudong Airport.

A New York-registered architect, Dennis was an Associate Partner at Richard Rogers Partnership (now RSHP) and held a senior role with the Aéroports de Paris, delivering aviation projects across Europe, North America and Asia.
