Traffic… no problem
Transportation engineers coordinate daily traffic flows and incident assistance from the DOT Navigator – main control center in Atlanta, Georgia.
AECOM was brought on board to provide architectural services for the re-design of the center. The main space was redesigned to provide a two story height for large video monitors overlooked by an upper balcony staffed by the state police. The new center provides for seamless real-time traffic information and links to other smaller control centers throughout the state.
