My day-to-day work ranges from developing structural designs—which involve detailed calculations and engineering analysis—to preparing project documentation such as tender documents and technical reports.

My role is to deliver geotechnical solutions for slope upgrading works and natural terrain hazard mitigation works to reduce the risks and consequences of landslides in Hong Kong. This includes conducting ground investigation result interpretations and slope stability analyses for the design of soil nail systems, flexible barriers and rigid barriers. I have also prepared landscape proposals to minimize the environmental impact of construction works.

My work has been mainly focusing on member checking and preparation of submissions for the building project, with the aid of spreadsheets and engineering software like Etabs and SAFE. My day-to-day work also includes communication with different stakeholders like the government department and construction engineers, providing structural advice and solve practical issues encountered during construction.
