What are the world’s cities doing to anticipate, mitigate and adapt to climate change?

With over half the world’s population, two-thirds of the world’s energy consumption and 80% of the world’s GDP, cities directly influence greenhouse gas emissions and face the greatest concentration of physical, social and economic risks associated with climate change.

AECOM partners with CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), an international, not-for-profit organization, to produce annual reports on what cities are doing to anticipate, mitigate and adapt to climate change.

AECOM volunteers expertise in data analysis, communications and visualization techniques in producing reports.

AECOM has supported the CDP cities program since 2012, when 73 cities voluntarily participated. In 2017, 569 cities reported.
