AECOM was a Gold Sponsor at the 25th Asia Pacific Rail 2023 exhibition held in Bangkok from May 31 to June 2, showcasing some of its most iconic rail projects, and innovative tools and solutions for rail infrastructure delivery.
With a booth display at the Event Hall of the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), we provided a glimpse into the transformative power of technology in building resilient rail infrastructure with a strong emphasis on people-focused outcomes.
Insightful discussions on the future of rail in Asia were led by experts in the industry, including our colleagues, Russell Jackson, Global Transit Director, who spoke at the Taking Metro Rail Projects Into the Digital Age panel; while Mike Taylor, Global Head of Rail Systems and Systems Engineering, and Seng Tiok POH, FICE, Senior Vice President, Head of Rail and Transit, Asia, shared a presentation on Digital + Mainline & Systems.
The discussions at the event highlighted how quickly the metro industry is changing because of new technologies and the growing needs of cities, along with the great opportunities that come with these advancements. Innovations must be harnessed to push boundaries and build future rail infrastructure that is adaptable, relevant and resilient.
The event recorded its highest number of attendees, at more than 3,000; with more than 140 exhibitors and 100 sessions across six stages. We are honored to be part of this significant event which helped foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing to shape the future of rail in Asia.
