LOS ANGELES (November 18, 2025) — AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, today announced Joe Quitter has been named the new Metro Los Angeles Executive. He will serve the Southern California area across the Company’s U.S. West region providing consulting services to key clients and delivering quality outcomes for AECOM’s clients and communities.

“Joe’s proven leadership and deep understanding of Southern California’s transportation landscape make him exceptionally well-suited for this role,” said Matt Crane, regional chief executive of AECOM’s U.S. West region. “His track record of delivering complex, high-profile projects and building strong client relationships will be instrumental as we continue to advance transformative infrastructure solutions across the region.”

Mr. Quitter has over 30 years of experience in transportation infrastructure, organizational leadership, and business development, including more than 15 years with an engineering and consulting firm in Los Angeles working with high-profile clients such as LA Metro, LAWA, Caltrans, and the City of Los Angeles to deliver some of the city’s most notable transportation projects.

“Joining AECOM at this pivotal time for Southern California’s infrastructure is an exciting opportunity,” said Mr. Quitter. “I’m committed to leveraging our global expertise and local knowledge across all business lines to help clients deliver projects that create lasting benefits for the communities we serve.”

In Southern California, Mr. Quitter has performed leadership roles on the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening design-build–leading the planning and design of the largest freeway closure in Los Angeles history known as Carmageddon, the I-10 Express Lanes design-build, and the I-105 Express Lanes CMGC projects, while overseeing strategic pursuits that have transformed regional mobility, building a program and construction management practice, and leading strategic growth in the region for his former firm. Earlier in his career, he performed technical roles on various public works projects, including the Central Artery/Tunnel project in Boston, MA. Most recently he served as a project executive for the Brightline West High-Speed Rail project, which will connect Las Vegas, NV to Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Mr. Quitter’s role is effective immediately.
