March 15, 2016

LOS ANGELES (March 15, 2016) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that it has named Pete Holland chief operating officer of the Los Angeles metropolitan area for the firm’s design and consulting services group.

A 25-year veteran of the architecture/engineering/construction industry, Holland has an impressive track record of leading change, developing new markets and growing revenue.

Most recently, he was president and chief executive officer of Texas Sterling Construction, a heavy civil construction company where he was responsible for more than 1,000 employees and annual revenue of over US$300 million. Prior to this, Holland spent seven years as corporate executive vice president of a general building contractor, and 14 years at Parsons, as vice president and general manager of their Federal Infrastructure and Operations & Maintenance business lines. After graduation from the United States Air Force Academy, he served in various design-build assignments around the globe, eventually returning to the Air Force Academy as an associate professor of civil engineering, before leaving active duty for the private sector.

“Pete has a proven track record in improving project performance and growing revenues,” said Vahid Ownjazayeri, chief growth officer of AECOM’s design and consulting services group. “He will be a tremendous asset to AECOM as we look to build on the success and evolution of our Los Angeles operations and deliver our integrated services to clients to help them meet their infrastructure and business needs.”
