BURNABY (March 6, 2024) — AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Faisal Siddiqui as senior director, highway engineering for British Columbia. In this role, he is responsible for leading the local highway engineering team including structural and bridge engineering, road safety and traffic engineering, intelligent transportation systems, geomatics and surveys, as well as highway construction management and contract administration.

“We are thrilled to have Faisal join AECOM. His profound understanding of public sector challenges is a strong addition to our local transportation business,” said Bruce McCuaig, senior vice president and regional business line leader for Transportation in AECOM’s Canada region. “He understands what’s required to manage and deliver innovative and safe transportation infrastructure that not only improves mobility, but also addresses today’s pressing resilience, sustainability and social equity issues.”

Most recently between 2018 and 2022, he managed design projects under the ministry’s Provincial Capital Program which varied between $50-100 million annually while also working as a senior engineering manager and director of highway design and geomatics engineering.

“I joined AECOM because of its global reputation for helping clients solve their complex infrastructure challenges and the firm’s commitment to leave a positive lasting impact on communities they serve and our planet,” said Mr. Siddiqui. “I’m looking forward to leading and growing the highway engineering team in BC and partnering with clients to deliver transformational highway projects that help communities thrive.”
