AECOM’s Design and Consulting Services group names Kristin Morico environmental health & safety management strategic executive director

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 16, 2018) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that Kristin Morico has been named the environmental health & safety (EHS) management strategic executive director for its Design and Consulting Services (DCS) group. Ms. Morico will report to Al Hannum, AECOM’s chief executive of the DCS global environment business.

As the EHS strategic executive director, Ms. Morico will focus on building a high-end EHS consulting business that effectively integrates AECOM’s component services across multiple business sectors, including the delivery of outsourced EHS management services to a wide variety of clients.

Ms. Morico’s extensive industry background and overall reputation within the EHS leadership community brings unique perspectives and capabilities that resonate with our clients and will be critical to our success. Throughout her career, spanning more than 30 years, Ms. Morico has assumed leadership positions of increasing responsibility across several Fortune 500 companies, including Clairol, Inc., Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. environmental consultants, environmental compliance officer for ABB/Combustion Engineering, director of global environmental programs and EHS governance at Pratt and Whitney (Division of United Technologies Corporation) and director of environmental programs for Tyco International. Most recently, prior to joining AECOM, she was the global executive in charge of Global Environmental Programs at General Electric.

Ms. Morico possesses a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairfield University, Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut, Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. She is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in nine states, Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) in the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES), certified safety professional, diplomate, water resources engineer and an ENVISIONTM sustainability professional among other certifications.

Ms. Morico is an active member in several professional EHS organizations and was elected to the status of Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers and serves on the advisory board for the University of Connecticut School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, former president of the National Association of Environmental Managers (NAEM) as well as vice president/president-elect of the AAEES. For the past six years, Ms. Morico was a visiting lecturer at Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and currently serves on its alumni board and was inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Engineers at the University of Connecticut School of Engineering in 2011.

Ms. Morico will be based in Connecticut and will serve clients globally.
