Las Vegas, NV (August 13, 2024) — The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), Hunt-PENTA Joint Venture, Klai-Juba-Wald Architects, and Miller & Ham Project Development today marked a major milestone in the $600 million renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center’s (LVCC) legacy campus. The placement of the structure’s final beam, today’s event commemorated the work of hundreds of tradesworkers.
The LVCVA, which owns and operates the LVCC, launched a $600 million renovation of the facility’s legacy campus in 2023 to extend the contemporary design, architecture, and customer experience of the $1 billion West Hall expansion. Construction work on the South Hall was completed in January and will continue in the Central and North Halls through 2025.Once completed, the center will feature an expansive Grand Lobby, new state-of-the-art spaces, digital signage, improved technology features, and an overall enhanced guest experience.
Conventions are a major source of economic growth for Las Vegas. In 2023, the sector contributed more than $15 billion to the local economy and directly supported more than 67,000 jobs totaling $3.7 billion in wages.

One of the nation’s premiere convention centers, the Las Vegas Convention Center is home to the country’s largest and most significant tradeshows, including SEMA, CES, World of Concrete and CONEXPO – CON/AGG. In 2023, the venue hosted 48 conventions with approximately 1.2 million attendees.
