The AECOM Tishman team served New Jersey Transit as Construction Manager on a multi-phased, four-year-long renovation of this historic complex.
The scope included a historic restoration of the landmarked main waiting room, construction of a modern, consolidated facility for maintenance, fill-in of the Long Slip (a 2,000-foot former barge canal adjacent to Yard), a master plan/constructability review, structural rehabilitation of the historic ferry terminal including construction of a new ferry service concourse within it, and construction of a maintenance/fueling facility with a 72-car train storage yard and four-track railroad bridge.
