Here at AECOM, we recognise the value of working with a diversity of small and medium-sized businesses. By sharing expertise and innovative thinking, SMEs help us to solve our clients most complex challenges to deliver a better world. In FY21, we worked with over 500 SMEs on over 1,000 projects within the UK & Ireland.
As well as supporting project delivery, SMEs have a crucial role in helping us meet the environmental, social and governance goals (ESG) set out in our Sustainable Legacies strategy. We work with SMEs to address key themes – such as net zero and supplier diversity – to ensure all supplier-based activity aligns with our ESG strategy and wider values-based procurement objectives.
Building on our global reputation as an industry leader in the support of small and diverse firms, our vision is to be at the vanguard of SME partnership best practice here in the UK and Ireland. To do this, we are embedding a collaborative approach where strong, long term partnerships allow all parties to grow sustainably by working towards mutually beneficial milestones.
