AECOM, the trusted global infrastructure leader, today announced the appointment of Richard Whitehead as Europe and India Regional Chief Executive to accelerate growth plans for its business across these markets.
With more than three decades of industry experience and over 12 years with AECOM, Richard brings deep expertise in infrastructure, planning, and design. Most recently he led AECOM’s global Buildings and Places business, driving innovation in sustainable design and digital transformation across transportation, social infrastructure, technology, and commercial real estate markets. His leadership in complex project delivery will be instrumental to the region’s continued success.
“Richard’s appointment reinforces the depth of AECOM’s leadership bench and our commitment to cultivating talent from within the business,” said Troy Rudd, AECOM’s chief executive officer. “Trends across our markets remain favourable, and we are well positioned to capitalise on significant opportunities in our sectors as we continue strengthening our business around the world and delivering industry-leading solutions for our clients.”
Commenting on his appointment, Richard Whitehead said: “This is an exciting time for AECOM in Europe and India as the business continues to expand into new markets and geographies. My primary focus will be to deliver continued excellence for our clients and strengthen collaboration across our global network to secure growth.”
