AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, has launched its urban analytics offering in the UK and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), appointing Dr Eime Tobari as Director of Urban Analytics. As part of AECOM’s new offering in the region, Dr Tobari is working with clients on how to leverage data to create measurable value, safety, security, and resilience in cities. AECOM’s advanced urban analytic techniques provides factual and practice support for infrastructure-related decisions.
AECOM’s experience with urban systems provides unique insights in transportation, energy, water and environment, as well as digital infrastructure, with a focus on practical solutions and effective delivery. The added capability of urban analytics allows clients and communities to identify and respond to accelerating changes in cities and to shape the future of cities in an engaging and responsible manner.
Dr Eime Tobari, Director of Urban Analytics, said: “Collecting the right data allows us to identify the most vulnerable areas, supporting our ability to plan and prioritise. We can make choices that reduce congestion, frees up resources for more productive uses, consider implications to infrastructure, housing, transport and other city decisions. Data also helps us identify areas that are most at risk, particularly within our most vulnerable communities. I look forward to working with AECOM clients to help them benefit from this approach.”
AECOM already offers urban analytic services to clients in the United States and its work with UK and EMEA-based clients will commence immediately.
