AECOM Tishman is credited with inventing the construction management delivery method in 1968. Originally conceived by John Tishman as a smarter way to build large-scale projects faster and more efficiently, construction management fosters a collaborative partnership amongst all team members that is focused around the best interests of the owner. It facilitates a phased approach to design that enables construction to start – therefore, finish – faster. On large-scale projects with complex design considerations the construction management approach has proven time and again to work better than the more traditional lump sum approach.
