THE IMPULSE is the newly built, modern Siemens visitor center in Amberg which combines a Showcase and Experience Center as well as a Science Lab under one roof. It allows the visitor to encounter new technologies in the fields of electrification, automation and digitalization in a virtual set up. It presents the most exciting and relevant global developments, that are crucial to advancing industry towards the autonomous factory. This pioneering project is a world-class facility which will attract clients and visitors from all over the world.
The main objectives of the project were defined as follows:
- Developing a sophisticated, modern design supporting a sustainable visitor experience, in line with the digital nature of the Siemens products and processes
- Respecting the safety concept developed by Siemens
- Planning and execution according to LEED Gold criteria
Due to the unique nature and specific character of the building it was not required by Siemens to follow the formal company design standards. This created the opportunity to develop a visionary project designed in a futuristic way.
