What sets us apart?

AECOM has adjacent skills/capability that differentiates us compared to our competition in areas as diverse as:

Environmental Services – Protecting the environment is fundamental to our power clients’ social licence to operate. Our environmental experience helps our power clients solve the most-complex environmental challenges throughout the business lifecycle, including asset development, operations optimisation, integrated products and restoration and re-use.

Climate Change/Resilience – The lifecycle of a power asset typically exposes those assets to the consequences of climate change. Our climate change and resilience capability helps our clients make informed decisions associated with their power assets.

Integrated Delivery – Our power team works closely with our construction services team to provide an integrated delivery service across the development phase of power assets.

Digital – While the construction industry has embraced digital technology, the power market is playing catch-up. Our global cross-sectoral experience of digital engineering and digital solutions allows us to work with power clients to move to a digital future.

Cities – Smart, integrated energy use is key to making cities better places in which to live, do business and coexist with nature. Our power team, when combined with our national cities team, provides the value of an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to our clients, which helps cities thrive in the face of unprecedented challenges.

Decommissioning – As we move away from a power market that is dominated by large, centralised, baseload, fossil-fuelled power generation, safe and environmentally responsible closure and decommissioning of those assets will be critical. Our global major power facility decommissioning team complements our growing local decommissioning experience.
