The science park, located in Pak Shek Kok, Tai Po in Hong Kong, covering a total site area of 22 hectares, is a technological infrastructure that aims to create a suitable environment for research and development of biotechnology, precision engineering, electronics and information technology and telecommunications high-tech industries. It is to be developed in three phases over a period of nine years. Phase 2 will comprise 11 buildings with a total GFA of 105,000 meters squared and other supporting facilities. Special features include:

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation appointed AECOM to provide project management services and ensure timely completion of the possible Phase two development, within budget and achieving the highest quality possible. AECOM’s integrated project management team of skilled multi-disciplinary professionals provided the following scope of services for this project: monitoring of project program and budget, review of master layout plan, project initiation documents, consultancy brief for appointment of design and cost consultants and management of consultants’ performance, witnessing of testing and commissioning, and handover of facilities and assets.
The Phase two development was awarded the ‘Quality Building Award – Merit’ Awards in the Non- Residential & Sustainability Category in 2008.
